Anka is currently Programme Coordinator at the Polish Federation for Women and Family Planning which serves as a secretariat to the Astra Network of NGOs working on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans. She has been involved in pro-choice feminism for 12 years and is one of the founders of a pioneer Polish group of sexuality educators Ponton. She took part in the Women on Waves campaign for safe an legal abortion in 2004. In addition, she serves on the board of Catholics for Choice. She is involved politically, focusing on gender equality. She holds an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Warsaw University, did a postgraduate course in clinical sexology and completed courses for professional facilitators and trainers. She participated and spoke at numerous national, regional and international conferences, including in the European Parliament in Brussels and the Polish parliament. In 2007 she was nominated in the Polish Woman of the Year competition by the popular women’s magazine “Wysokie Obcasy”. She lives in Warsaw.
